Creation myth

We have been learning about myths and legends. We had to do a creation myth, a creation myth is how something began like how the rainbow got its color. I decided to make up how the zebra its stripes. I enjoyed this activity. I learned that there are many different creation stories.

Coco Crunch Cereal

Hi

Today I am going to talk about my choice of a web page for the coco- crunch cereal.

My 5 gimmick choices were;

Magic land/ “A taste of real chocolate”/ Lewis the dragon/ “Design your own coco crunch cereal box”/ “Enter the great crunch contest”

I chose Magic Land because I thought it would make it look more child-friendly.

I chose the sentence ‘The taste of real chocolate’ to make children want to have it because it has the word chocolate in it and most children love chocolate.

I decided to pick the dragon to keep the magic theme running.

I wanted the “Design your own cereal box” because they would have to buy the cereal to be able to do it this is the same reason I chose the “ Enter the Great Crunch Contest”.

I would improve this website by adding more options.

Science

At the moment in science, we have been learning about weather. We have not just been learning what weather is but where it is. One time we did a practical and the teacher filled 2 sinks of water one hot one cold, the warm one was Fiji and the cold one was Antartica. We had to make a thermometer to measure the difference in heat. This is how we were giving a piece of cardboard and we had to cut it 15cm long and 8cm wide. Then we got a ruler and marked each mark on the ruler to the piece of cardboard, each mark was one centigrade. We filed a bottle with food coloring and water. The picture will show what to do next. Put the thermometer in the water and the colouring will rise the warmer it is and decrease the colder it is.

Food Technology

Last time in cooking we made rice salad and learnt how to cook rice here's how. You boil some water and once it is boiled you put the amount of rice in the pot. Put the lid on the rice and leave it for ten minutes. Fry the vegetables you want in your salad and when you think they both are ready mix them both together and there you have it.
 

Food Technology

Today in food technology we made pinwheel scones they were more like cinnamon scones then any other scones I know. I was working with Shyana today. They tasted so good but when the topping was burned they were disgusting!
Next time I make these I think I will add more milk because our dough was way too flakey before adding more milk and I still think we could have put more in.

Loss

In homeroom, we are writing stories about we have lost something. In my story, a girl lost my mind. It was about a girl who had to say a speech and forgot her lines when she got up to say it. She was now known as the girl who lost her mind! 

Inquriy

In homeroom, we are working on an inquiry. We have to choose a country and put as much interesting information as possible. My country is Australia. We have about to more weeks to finish our work. I still need some more work but I might just get it done in time.

Scince

In science, we are learning about volcanos. Yesterday we did an experiment we put a test tube into the sink and put baking soda and vinger.  When you put them together the exploded sor of.

Technology

During technology, we have been giving all sorts of material to make bridges and bikes and other sorts of stuff. Our teacher sometimes puts challenges around the lap for us to complete. At the moment we are working on making a machine for a ball to run through. To complete it we have to use 3 of these machines such as a pulley, catapult etc.
